Top Tracks from 2000 to 2009

This list is three months in the making. I looked extensively (and obsessively) through my iTunes library to find my top 100 songs from the past ten years.

To get this list, I looked first at the artists. A great many times, I would find a single artist might have dominated this list. So, I went to great pains to limit the number of appearances any single artist would make. The highest "charting" song from an artist would correspond to their only appearance. The exceptions come when my reasons for liking the songs are radically different from each other. Hopefully that made sense. There are tie scores as well.

Knowing me, I couldn't stop at 100. But I did exercise a tiny bit of restraint and limited it to 115 in honor of Billboard. "How is this an honor?" you may ask. Songs that don't quite make the Hot 100 chart are relegated to something called the Bubbling Under chart. So, just consider tracks 101 through 115 to be Joe Hinson's Bubbling Under chart.
