Check below for details!
10.
Blur / "Ambulance" / Think Tank / 2003
Blur only had one album out this entire decade, and it ranked as one of its best. A shoegaze bluster opens the song, but then the Afro/Moroccan influence that peppers much of Think Tank comes in and it goes massive.
9.
Charlotte Hatherley / "Behave" / The Deep Blue / 2007
The opening salvo of what promises to be a fantastic solo career. Her first post-Ash single, it's a multi-layered, effects-laden gem that defies easy categorization.
8.
Ash / "Walking Barefoot" / Free All Angels / 2001
A breezy, summery anthem that deftly uses sentimentality without schmaltz.
7.
Super Furry Animals / "Sidewalk Serfer Girl" / Rings Around the World / 2001
The careening unpredictability of their early work meets the broader sound of their latter days. Witty lyrics and inventive sonic flourishes abound.
6.
¡Forward Russia! / "Thirteen" / Give Me a Wall / 2006
Passionate, noisy, schizophrenic, and larger than life.
5.
The Zutons / "Oh Stacey (Look What You've Done" / Tired of Hangin Around / 2006
4.
Hope of the States / "Blood Meridian" / Left / 2006
3.
Manic Street Preachers / "The Second Great Depression" / Send Away the Tigers / 2007
2.
The National / "Mistaken For Strangers" / Boxer / 2007
