The Inaugural

Okay, so welcome to my first foray into "serious" blogging.

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Joe Hinson, I'm 22 years old (23 as of the 27th of this month), a recent graduate of Washington State University, an avid music fan and writer, a guitarist, and a current job hunter.

This is going to be your typical slice of life blog, complete with rants, raves, and occasional funny stories from the past, but hopefully with a bit of an (unoriginal) twist. I'm planning on doing something that might be cool to read for once.

The center of the blog is going to be a "Song of the Day" type thing, an idea I've been kicking around for a while. I've been wanting to keep up with my music writing for a while now; unfortunately, due to my schedule and the fact there really aren't that many good writing jobs out there, I haven't been able to keep up with it.

I'm basically going to set my iTunes to random, and whatever song it lands on, I'll review. Once a week, I'll review an album! Now trust me, I have some real clunkers in my library, so not everything'll be happy happy. But not that many, so if you have a suggestion, tell me!

Most likely this will be mirrored at my ANCIENT Livejournal, the address of which I'll post as soon as I finish blocking out the entries that make me look like a petulant little jerk... Let's face it, that's what I was for a spell.

So, look for my first "Song of the Day" to come soon.
